Hey!

Welcome to my blog. I'm here to share with you all of my favorite places to eat. Hope you find the restaurant that's right for you!

Clover (FIN)

Clover is a restaurant that focuses on providing health conscious American food to the people of Boston. At this restaurant you can find items such as oats, salads, soup, platters and a wide variety of sandwiches. There are multiple Clover locations, but this location in the Financial District is their flagship location downtown. Clover has options for all; for meat-eaters, vegetarians, and vegans alike. Also, most, if not all of the items that are not vegan on their menu, can be made vegan on request.

The restaurant is furnished with white washed tables and walls and a mixture of grey booths and wooden stools. The large glass windows brought in a lot of light and created the perfect opportunity for people watching. My favorite decor was the dozens of hanging light bulbs in the ceiling. If Urban Outfitters had a restaurant, I imagine it would be decorated like Clover.

I went to Clover (FIN) for breakfast and I ordered ginger lemonade and impossible sausage without the eggs and cheese. Their ordering system is not one of a typical restaurant. There is someone walking around with a tablet that takes your order once you’re ready to order. You then pay with a simple swipe of your credit/debit card on a card reader that is attached to the tablet. Once your order is ready, your name is called and you pick it up at the counter. It should be noted that you can also order your food online.

Now back to the food. I had no expectations for the impossible sausage since I took the main ingredients out of the sandwich. HOWEVER, it was actually quite appetizing. Obviously, the sandwich was very light, but it was filling enough to get me through the morning. The impossible sausage surprisingly had a lot of flavor, thanks to the sage, thyme and fennel seeds that were used to season it. In terms of non dairy and egg free choices, there wasn’t a lot to choose from on their breakfast menu. They do have a vegan breakfast sandwich, but it wasn’t available when I went.

On the other hand, their lunch/dinner menu has a lot of options for vegans and vegetarians. The next time I’m in Boston, I'm definitely going their for dinner so that I can try the the BBQ Seitan Sandwich and Chickpea Fritter Sandwich.
