I arrived at by CHLOE. as soon as they opened, so I had the restaurant all to myself. Against the wall you can find shelves full of grab and go drinks, pre-made salads, platters, noodle bowls, and desserts. Also, next to the register is a glass encasement of vegan dessert heaven. They offer free WiFi, there’s plenty of outlets, they don’t rush you to leave, and they play some of the best music. Coming from the speakers was the ultimate 90’s RnB and Hip Hop playlist, playing all of the songs I grew up on.
Now on to the reason I came to the restaurant in the first place, the fooooddd! Before I tell you about how good the food is, I should let you know that in comparison to other vegan fast food restaurants, by CHLOE. is on the pricier side, but to me, it’s worth it. You get consistent, good quality vegan food! The pesto meatball consists of large Italian “meatballs”, marinara, and slices of sweet pepper, all covered in basil pesto and melted mozzarella and parmesan cheese, stuffed in the middle of a potato sub roll. The roll was light and soft and each bite was filled with a burst of flavor. The Cardi beet smoothie bowl was a bowl of delicious smoothie topped with slices of banana, a handful of blueberries, dried cranberries and mango, granola, a dollop of almond butter, and chia seeds. This meal made a wonderful and filling breakfast. Exactly what I needed to get my morning started.
