QDOBA Mexican Eats- East Meadow

On the rare occasions that I don’t bring lunch to work I always struggle to find something to eat near Garden City, Long Island. One reason is that I am not that familiar with the area, and another is that I rarely eat out in Long Island. So I had no idea what the options were for me. During my search for a restaurant I stumbled across QDOBA and decided to give them a try. QDOBA is a Mexican chain restaurant that serves customizable burritos, tacos, and more. They have two Long Island locations, two Queens locations and one location in Brooklyn.
QDOBA offers a wide variety of vegan and vegetarian options, so there shouldn’t be any problem for you find something to eat. The Taco Salad and the Mini Burrito Bowl was my order of choice. Both bowls are completely customizable, so you can make them into whatever your heart desires. The Taco Salad contained more food than I expected. If you’re not one to eat a lot of food, you might want to share this bowl with another person or save half of it for later. The Taco Salad comes with romaine lettuce and your choice of toppings and dressing in an edible bowl. First you start by choosing your protein, which can be ground beef, grilled steak, smoked brisket, grilled adobo chicken, vegetarian, or impossible. Next, you pick a dressing, salsa, sauce, rice, bean, and additional toppings. There are so many toppings to pick from, so you are able to build a real hefty meal for yourself.
I was honestly impressed by how much flavor this bowl was packing. Not only were the portions generous, but the food was also delicious. Therefore, you will be left feeling satisfied in all aspects with each bite. Also, don’t let the name of the Mini Burrito Bowl fool you. This bowl may be in a small package, but it is definitely enough food to have one person satisfied for lunch.
QDOBA is a great restaurant to grab lunch during the work week or on the weekends by yourself, with friends or with family. Here you can find quality food at a great price. Who doesn’t love to enjoy delicious eats while saving a bit of money? You can come here time and time again to experiment with new combinations of toppings and to try something new on the menu each week.
