Plant Theory is a vegan restaurant located at the Whitelaw Hotel. When I first visited the restaurant I was not sure whether I was in the right place or not. On the outside it simply looked like a hotel, and the only sign that the restaurant could possibly be somewhere inside this building was a small paper sign in the front window which said "Plant Theory." When you walk inside, if you're anything like me, the set up will have you even more confused on whether you're at the right spot or not. This is so because to the left there is a bar, directly in front of you is a hotel lobby and front desk, then to your right is a bunch of fancy furniture. So to be sure I'm exactly where I should be I asked the lady at the front desk if this is where Plant Theory is located and she said yes and told us to be seated by all of the fancy chairs.

The first thing we had was our drinks. I had the ancient Chinese secret, which was very refreshing and packed with goji berries, banana and strawberries. My boyfriend had the happy happy joy joy which I also liked, but it had a strong cocoa after taste. Next came the nacho libre. At first, we were a bit hesitant to order the nachos because one of the toppings was jackfruit. Now, don't get me wrong, I love jackfruit and can eat it all day everyday, but I wasn't too sure about eating it cooked, and with nachos...

BUT, we ordered it and I'm so glad we did! The nachos were beyond filling. The very first layer was cheese, nacho chips and some type of cream sauce. After you peel back that layer you're met with more nachos, cheese, shredded jackfruit and bell peppers.

Next we have the star of the day, the artichick'n burger. The burger was soooo juicy, thick and filling. My first bite into the burger was filled with an abundance of flavor and juices. The breaded artichoke hearts added most of the texture to the burger and was the heart of the burger (no pun intended). I found myself taking small bites and chewing slowly to savor the moment. Each bite was filled a burst of flavor that I was not willing to let go of. I was not ready to finish the burger. For the first time ever, I was on the verge of experiencing a foodgasm.

Bae and I found ourselves back in the position of  not saying a word to each other, eating our food, and nodding at each other in agreement of how good it was.

My boyfriend had a similar experience with the southern artichick'n waffle burger. He said that every bite was more zestful than the last to the very end. He liked the fact that the waffle gave the burger an easy access kind of feel. This is so because you did not have to spend time chewing through two pieces of bread.

At the end of our meals we were all the way in love with Plant Theory. Before we even left the restaurant we were already plotting on when we could order our next burger for the day.
