CoreLife Eatery- Garden City

At CoreLife Eatery you can find delicious healthy dishes that cater to most diets for a reasonable price right here in Long Island. They have two locations in Long Island; one in Farmingdale and another in Garden City. CoreLife’s menu consist of green bowls, grain bowls, broth bowls, power plates, and warm rice bowls, and each dish can be customized! Each category has at least one vegan option, and if you don’t see anything that suits your diet then you can build your own bowl.

I decided to build my own grain bowl and I used there Spicy Thai Chicken and Rice Noodles Bowl as my inspiration. For this bowl I used spicy thai noodles and napa cabbage as my base, and scallions, sriracha sprouts, spicy broccoli and green peppers as my veggies of choice. For the premium topping I added avocado, and I went with roasted tofu as my protein. To finish it off, I chose thai cashew and thai chili for the sauces, and black sesame seeds as an additional topping.

Every meal at CoreLife Eatery is made fresh from locally sourced food, and you can definitely taste the difference. I appreciated the salad being tossed well, because at some restaurants they simply stack each layer of ingredient on top of each other. Consequently, you end up finishing one ingredient before another and then next thing you know you’re just left with greens at the bottom of your bowl. I ordered the dressings on the side, but if you prefer, you can opt to have the dressing pre-tossed.

The dressings added so much flavor and spice to salad! I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch. I can’t wait to go back and try more items from their menu. Definitely interested in trying the broth bowl during the winter. It should be noted that if you’re going to visit CoreLife Eatery for lunch, I recommend that you order your food online so that you avoid the long wait during the lunch hours.
