News Cafe is open 24 hours, 7 days a week, which worked out in our favor because this night we were struggling when it came to deciding where to have dinner. By the time we made a decision I realized that the restaurant we chose was closing in 10 minutes. So News Cafe it was! This restaurant is conveniently located on Ocean Drive which offers a beautiful view of the beach. There is ample outdoor dining available at News Cafe. Each table overlooks the boisterous and busy Miami street and is perched perfectly to observe the constant flood of activity along the Miami strip.
We were greeted warmly by our server and seated just by the entrance for a pleasant outdoor dining experience. The menu was filled with a wide variety of options and plenty of beverage choices. The drinks arrived quite a while before the food, however the pina colada was tropical, and refreshing. It was a perfectly blended frozen mixture that was very generous in portion. The drinks were so good that we had to order a second round. The food arrived and it was worth the wait. The shrimps were tender and the chunks of sweet pepper in between each shrimp was perfectly charred. The salmon was zestful and charred to a crispy perfection. The Cajun fries were addictive and bursting with peppery flavor and the vegetables were crunchy and seasoned well. Bae and I both ate our food until our plates were clean.
Side note, News Cafe does have a small amount of vegetarian options, but no vegan options.
