Clementine Bakery

If you’re anything like me and you recently became a vegan or you decided to remove dairy and/or eggs from your diet, then you’re probably wondering “how the hell am I going to enjoy cakes and other treats now?!” “What do I eat on my birthday?”

It can be hard to find vegan desserts in most neighborhoods, much less vegan desserts that are undeniably delectable. Last year I had luck on my side and I stumbled upon Clementine Bakery while out in Brooklyn one day. Clementine is an oasis amid the hustle and bustle of the city. At this vegan cafe you are surrounded by beautiful plants in hanging pots, large windows that bring in plenty sunshine, and warm smiles from friendly staff.

Clementine offers vegan lunch, breakfast, cakes, pies, and a wide variety of pastries. This cafe/bakery is perfect for those of us with a sweet tooth and dietary restrictions. This is so because not only do they sell vegan pastries, but they also offer quite a few gluten-free options. Also, if you’re a picky eater or you’re looking for something specific for an event, you can order custom cakes and cupcakes online.

Last year I lived out my birthday cake fantasy and I ordered a triple chocolate cake topped with strawberries and cookies. However, this year I decided to go with a chocolate cake with vanilla frosting for my birthday.

Clementine Bakery is a great one-stop shop cafe for vegans. In the morning you can grab a hearty breakfast, then swing by later for a light lunch and take a cupcake to go, then order a birthday cake for your bestie when you get home (that’s if you’re life was usually organized and you actually had your shit together). You can watch a quick video about my time at Clementine below:
