Ital Kitchen

Ital Kitchen brought a lot of the foods and flavors that I missed from my hometown of Kingston, Jamaica right into Brooklyn! AND they made it vegan! After becoming a pescatarian, I was convinced that jerk chicken was forever removed from my life. But Ital Kitchen found a way to perfect the vegan version of it and I'm happy to have it back in my life.
Growing up with a Rastafarian father I was very familiar with ital food, which simply means food that is natural, pure and enhances life. With that being said, Ital Kitchen felt like home in all ways. However, whether you know anything about ital or Jamaican food, Ital Kitchen can still feel like home for you, through the warm colors in the restaurant and the welcoming staff.
Luckily, when I visited this restaurant it was just opening, so me and my boyfriend got to enjoy the place all to ourselves. Ital Kitchen has a sort of peaceful atmosphere that relaxed me and made the food so enjoyable.
