Champs Diner Part 2

Pictured Above: Buffalo & BBQ Tempeh Wings, Cookie Dough Shake, S’mores Shake, Chik’n & Waffles, and French Toast

It’s been a minute since the first time I went to Champs Diner. Coming back here the second time around I was filled with so much excitement. That’s because I’ve been thinking about their breakfast menu ever since I left. Finally ya girl was going to be able to indulge in some amazing vegan breakfast!

Before I ordered the entrée, I revisited an old friend, the tempeh wings. The first thing I noticed is that they used less sauce on the wings this time. To me, that’s a good thing, because even though I enjoyed them the first time, the sauce on the buffalo wings were a little over bearing. Champs has now perfected their wings and they are coated in the right amount of sauce. The tempeh wings were soft to the bite and light enough to leave room for your entrée.

Shortly before the waffles and french toast arrived I got the guilt free milkshakes. They were just as delicious, if not better, than they were the first time. The milkshakes were pretty thick, so I did not have to worry about them melting before the food arrived. The best part about the milkshakes to me are the toppings. You get enjoy things like chocolate chips, marshmallows, and crumbled chocolate chip cookies while sipping on a tall glass of milkshake.

Now on to the entrée! This was my first time ever eating chicken and waffles, and I am happy that my first time was at Champs. The waffle was topped with powdered sugar and a breaded chik’n steak that was almost as big as the waffle. The waffle was light and fluffy and the chik’n was lightly coated in a well seasoned batter. The french toast was a great way to end the meal. I had two wedges topped with powdered sugar and more than a handful of a variety of fruits.

Champs didn’t disappoint again. This is a restaurant that can cater to almost any of your vegan desires.
